Day at leisure.
We suggest you visit the Machu Picchu Citadel once again or hike the Huayna Picchu to receive the cosmic and telluric energy that the Sacred “Apu“ Mountain has. (Entrance tickets not included for the second visit).
The hike to Huayna Picchu starts at the Sacred Rock and passes through a gate that is open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. There are two schedules one from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and the second one from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There’s a limited number of people that can enter each day (200 per shift).
Please, if you are interested on hiking the Huayna Picchu, let us know in advance so we can do the booking and buy the entrance ticket in advance. This – one to two – hour walk is steep, but the path is in excellent shape, though the last 20 meters include a steep rock slab. The Incas built terraces here, and the airy summit offers a perfect view of the entire complex, which spreads out before the summit like a map. You will get excellent photos and the view is unique.
Another alternative is to stay in Aguas Calientes town and go to the hot springs to relax the body. In the afternoon you will take the train back to Cusco. Upon your arrival to Cusco transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Colonial and Modern city of Lima. The historical center is packed with 16th- and 17th-century marvels, including immaculately restored homes such as the Casa de Aliaga and the Palacio Torre Tagle.
The city tour starts on the Plaza Mayor, which is graced with a bronze fountain from 1650 and flanked on one side by the Cathedral, which was built in the late 16th century. It contains the carved wooden sepulcher of Francisco Pizarro, who was murdered in 1541 by mob of Almagristas, a rival political faction.
As you enter, the first chapel on the right is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and contains a carving of Jesus that is considered to be among the most beautiful in the Americas. But the highlight of the cathedral are the choir stalls carved in the early 17th century by Pedro Noguera.
Also, you will observe the Government Palace, which forms the other side of the Plaza Mayor and was built by the Spanish on top of the home of Taulichusco.
Finally, you will visit the 16th-century San Francisco Monastery, with its beautiful cloister and entrance, as well as the catacombs or public cemetery, where slaves, servants and others without money were buried until 1821 (rich citizens were usually buried in their home chapels).
Then you will travel back to the XX century visiting modern districts with beautiful squares, small squares and avenues, as well as Miraflores with its beautiful beaches, intensive commercial trading and active nightlife. You will visit the Park of Love, where stands a big sculpture representing a “Couple of Andean Lovers” facing the Pacific Ocean.

The community in Machu Picchu is very important. Here we give you some recommendations of what you should bring:
If the trip is during the rainy season (November – March), you should wear warm clothes, a waterproof poncho and non-slip shoes.
On the other hand, if the visit is made in the dry season (April – October) it is important to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or hat with a wide brim, as well as mosquito repellent.
It is necessary to keep those stunning views of the Inca City of Machu Picchu with a good camera and / or video camera. There are so many views that you will want to take that it is necessary to carry extra batteries.
It is important to hydrate during the walk, bring water in bottle for easy transport.
