Itinerary

Biking route: From ancient pre-Incan crypts to breathtaking landscapes.

We begin our day early with a pickup at your hotel, followed by a bike ride to Otuzco. We’ll cycle through the magnificent landscapes of Tres Molinos and Fundo Los Alpes, exploring an impressive pre-Incan necropolis that stretches along the mountains. Along the way, you’ll discover stone-carved crypts in the Las Ventanas hills, cross an exciting hanging bridge, and explore giant hydrangea gardens.

We’ll finish our visit with a tour of Los Alpes farm, where you can purchase and taste fresh dairy products from the region. A truly authentic countryside experience!

Return to the hotel to rest and share the excitement of the day.

At 8:30 am, we head towards Granja Porcón, a rural paradise full of charm. Along the way, we’ll stop at the picturesque village of Huambocancha, known for its stone crafts.

Upon arrival at Granja Porcón, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Atahualpa Jerusalén cooperative, where we’ll learn about local traditions of weaving, carpentry, and natural dyes. We’ll also explore a fascinating mini zoo and the vicuña viewpoint, the region’s iconic animals.

We’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch on-site and try fresh dairy products, as well as visit the trout hatchery.

Return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

A day of exploration and cycling through a unique place full of history.

We start our final day with a meeting at your hotel at 8:30 am, then head towards Cumbemayo, an ancient archaeological site located 11,500 feet above sea level. On the way, we’ll stop at Bella Vista viewpoint, where you can admire the spectacular Cajamarca valley.

We’ll reach the Laizón archaeological area, famous for its whimsical rock formations. Then we’ll continue to the Stone Forest, a mysterious place full of strange and beautiful geological formations. Afterward, we’ll visit the Cumbemayo Sanctuary, famous for its petroglyphs, the enigmatic Tunnel of Wishes, ceremonial altars, sacrificial stones, and the ancient Cumbemayo aqueduct (over 3,000 years old), a remarkable pre-Columbian hydraulic engineering feat.

At the end of the visit, we’ll return to the hotel to conclude this unforgettable experience.
