Granja Porcón, located 30 km north of Cajamarca, is a cooperative whose members have decided to open their doors to tourism. Visitors can experience their way of life and participate in agricultural, livestock, and forestry activities. Additionally, it is possible to take walks through the forest and the countryside. Granja Porcón brings together agro-tourism, nature, and cultural exchange in one place.
Upon your arrival to Cajamarca, our transportation team will be waiting at the airport or bus station to transfer you to Granja Porcon.
You will have the morning available to rest, explore the surroundings and Lunch.
Around 2:00 pm, we’ll start a tour by the community and countryside, visiting Lazareto waterfalls, pine forests, crafts markets, and a mini zoo.
At the end of the day, dinner and overnight.

Visitors can take part in a series of farming activities such as planting and milking cows by hand, live side-by-side with members of the community, giving them a window into their lifestyle, traditions and daily activities.
After breakfast, we will visit Cumbemayo, passing through Bellavista (viewpoint of Cajamarca), Layzón, and the Forest Park, before entering the Cumbemayo Archaeological Center. Here, we will find the famous rock forests or “frailones,” petroglyphs, the sacrificial stone, the sanctuary, and the aqueduct (one of the most important hydraulic engineering works of Pre-Columbian America).
Free time for lunch. Afterward, we will begin our city tour, which includes a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Belén Monumental Complex: Belén Church, Medical Museum, Ethno-historical Museum; the Rescue Room, La Catedral Church, San Francisco Church: Religious Art Museum and Crypts, as well as the Hill of Santa Apolonia (Inca’s chair).
Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Cajamarca.
